Starting from 03/11/2015, all freights heading towards Nigeria require getting an ENS (Entry Summary Number), as well as making ACD declaration.

How long does it take to get an ENS?
As applications for ENS are considered in the main office in Lagos, the work program and working hours of Nigeria should be taken into consideration. Applications are usually considered in about a week.
Even though the ENS number is required to be mentioned on the bill of lading, some routes do not enforce this requirement and do not impose penalties. However, we recommend you get the number and have it written on the bill of lading.
