Dear Valued Business Partner,
We would like to inform you of an important update regarding the ECTN procedure for RORO vehicle shipments to Cameroon, as communicated by the Cameroon National Shippers’ Council (CNSC).
Effective 1st May 2025, shippers will be required to provide either:
- Proof of registration in the Importers/Exporters File (FIMEX),
or
- A valid Special Import Authorization.
This document must be submitted before the final validated ECTN can be issued.

Please note:
- You can still initiate your ECTN request at the port of loading as usual.
- However, the authenticated ECTN will only be released upon submission of the above-mentioned proof.
- If the shipper or their representative is not registered in FIMEX or does not have a Special Import Authorization, they may still launch the ECTN request to receive a draft ECTN, and finalize the authentication once compliance is achieved.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
