What is ECTN?

An ECTN (Electronic Cargo Tracking Note) Certificate is a mandatory document required by certain African countries for the import of goods. This certificate provides information about the cargo, its origin, destination, and details about the shipper and consignee. Essentially, the ECTN facilitates cargo tracking, ensuring that all imports are documented, and assists customs authorities in anticipating cargo arrival, improving logistical planning, and collecting accurate import duties.
